Why I love e-books
So, Jonathan Franzen, a novelist, thinks e-books are damaging society. Serious readers, he believes, have a desire for permanence that can only be satisfied by owning print copies of books.
Not that I’m about to strap the man down and tape a Nook to his arm, but I have a problem with that kind of prejudiced hollering of “I’m fancier more serious than you!”

Muslim Fashion Appreciation Post

I see a lot of Tumblr posts of girls in their short shorts and singlets that only cover up half their torso, but I don’t think I have seen a Fashion post about classy, stylish or spunky, conservatively-presented girls, most especially Muslim girls. I get really tired of Central Canadian culture being presented like it is The Canadian culture. I can’t speak for anyone else, but I gotta say, 90% of “haha, Canadians are like _____!” jokes inspire more of a lolwhut? reaction than anything else.
And don’t even get me started on that hallmark of Canadiana, The Hockey Sweater. Fuck that book.
